Thanks to everyone who participated in our Mosaic Mother’s Day Tea at the Los Gatos Opera House on Sunday, May 13th ~ it was a memorable and inspiring performance!
“Each of of us puts in one little stone and then you get a great mosaic at the end.” ~ Alice Paul
Join us for an inspiring Mother’s Day Tea, Lunch & Performance of the short play Mosaic: Voices of Women’s Suffrage at the Los Gatos Opera House as we celebrate the many contributions of mothers and women throughout history including a special “living history” reading by Julia Ward Howe, the original founder of Mother’s Day in 1870.
Mosaic is written and performed by a cast of young women (ages 12 – 16) and features historic portrayals of U.S. suffragists Julia Ward Howe, Caroline Churchill and Alice Paul.
Through monologues — and in conversation over tea — the suffragists each share their unique perspectives on women’s equality and the passage of the 19th Amendment, granting U.S. women the right to vote.
Join us for this special Mother’s Day performance as we honor the stories of women — past, present and future!
Tickets are $16 and include tea, lunch and the performance plus a special commemorative copy of Julia Ward Howe’s Mother’s Day Proclamation.
